Ready for winter + super affordable seeds

About how to prepare your beds for winter, which vegetables you can or cannot leave, and why most of our seeds are now extra affordable to buy.

Preparing for the winter season
Lately, it has been quite cold, although it hasn't frozen here yet. It has rained though: I haven't had to water for a while.

But that weather also means that I go into the garden less often. And sometimes even forget to harvest:

Genieten van de moestuin 🙂

Yep, daylight saving time has started again. Early darkness, harvesting with a lamp, and occasional heavy morning mist.

But in the morning it's also getting light for a bit longer now. That's handy for picking the last raspberries for breakfast:

Super affordable seeds

So, I just sent the order for the seeds for next year. That's always an tricky task every year, because you never know how many packets we will sell.

In previous years, we sometimes ordered too much. Especially for the seeds with an expiration date of January 2025.

That's bad luck for us, but lucky for you. Because to make room for the new seeds, we want to get rid of them as much as possible, and you can now buy them with a 50% discount. Until the end of December - or while supplies last.

Get your Planty Garden ready for winter

This is one of those things that gets left half-finished sometimes. I'm too busy, don't feel like going outside, the weather's bad, I need to do something else, I don't feel well...

Sound familiar? There are countless excuses to get out of it. But actually, it couldn't be easier.

So, let's talk about how to keep it easy.

Just when to do it depends on the weather. Sometimes it's already freezing in October. Sometimes, it's still so mild in January it seems like we're skipping winter altogether. But if you stick to November, you can't really go wrong.

So, that was it for today.

I hope there is still plenty for you to enjoy in the coming month. Watching the late-sown plants grow, beautiful autumn days, and some more harvest.

Super fun to see 😀

The November page will be live again on Wednesday, with all kinds of tips for the coming month. If you want to take a look at it now, you can do so here

Until next time!
