Ideas and inspiration for your vegetable garden

So: you want a vegetable garden. But vegetable gardens come in all shapes and sizes. From huge backyards to pots on a tiny balcony.

Before you start planning, it's good to check out what others have tried and get an idea of the possibilities. Who knows, maybe you'll stumble on a great idea you hadn't thought of yet.

Let's start with a short movie. Turn up the sound, get into it 😉
Now you have a better idea of what you can do with Planty Garden.

When I started, I built 4 garden boxes the first season. I thought was more than enough. But over the years, we added more and more. We had enough space in our garden for a lot.

Beautiful, isn't it? But because there were so many garden boxes, we filled most of them with flowers and fruit. You don't need that many garden boxes to grow a lot of vegetables. Not even for a big family.

But since my garden looked liked a jungle, people got the idea that they needed a lot of space. But just the opposite is true. In fact, you don't even need a backyard.

How do others garden with Planty?

Over the years, more and more people have set up their own unique Planty Gardens.

Just look at Anita's. She says that her garden is so relaxing that she doesn't have to go to yoga anymore.

And look at where Johanna keeps her garden box. She doesn't even have a yard, just a roof:

A Planty Garden grows great in small spaces too:

That's the beauty of a Planty Garden. It takes up so little space, you can grow almost anywhere. A front garden, back yard, balcony, roof terrace, or even the roof of your shed:

More examples?

Well, there are plenty. This page is far from finished.

But in the meantime, check out our Facebook and Instagram for more ideas. We share updates from our Planty Garden and highlights from the community of folks using our system.

If I can make a whole article about it, I'll share it here too.

So: more to come. If you're looking for inspiration again later on, you can always check back in here 🙂
