Started with the easy vegetable garden in 2023 and now I’m hooked! ;-)
A good kind of addiction though, if you ask me.
For a few years now I’ve had fruit in my own garden, like strawberries, blueberries, redcurrants, apples, raspberries and blackberries. Great fun!
But I started to get the itch, I wanted more....
First a few beds on the ground, homemade, then by the end of the year everything was raised up. (those annoying slugs). This year I made a few more beds, even an old table had to make way. And now I’ve also added the beds from the makkelijke moestuin ;-)
I used to start seeds off early and often 8 out of 10 didn’t survive. But now, in my first year (2023), everything survived, resulting in, among other things, 12 balcony tomatoes on one table (haha)
If I do something, I do it properly! So this year I’ll probably be harvesting for the whole neighbourhood, hehe. But it’s such good fun, when I’m off I’m often to be found in, under and behind the vegetable beds, and I’m secretly inspiring the people around me a little too.
