Specifically designed for the MM system
The MM is a complete concept. This means that everything seamlessly fits together: how we sow, the types of vegetables, the mix and nutrients we use for cultivation, and the app that helps you with everything.

How do you set it up? (Instructions)
1. Sizes
There are 3 sizes, which you can optionally supplement with a climbing frame and/or bottom and legs:
- 60x60 cm with 4 compartments
A small box to start with, or one that you can place in a small space. Note: there are currently no climbing frames or bottom and legs available for this size.
- 60x120 cm with 8 compartments
Ideal for narrow gardens, your balcony, or if you only need 8 compartments. Also commonly used as a herb or salad box.
- 120 x 120 with 16 compartments
Want to grow as much as possible in one box? Then choose the boxes with 16 compartments. You can fit many different types and maximize your harvest.

2. Bottom and legs
If you choose a version with bottom and legs, you will be gardening at table height. Ideal for people who cannot - or do not want to - bend over.
These are also made of stainless steel, so they last indefinitely. Moreover, slugs do not like to crawl up the stainless steel legs. So you will have much less trouble with them.
3. Trellis
With a vertical climbing frame, you increase the yield of your bed. This way, our tomatoes, courgettes, and pumpkins take up much less space, but still provide a large harvest. Just like the pole beans and snow peas.
Our climbing frames are made of sturdy steel pipes, are 120 cm wide and 180 cm high. It comes with a net.
4. MM-mix and plantfood
The MM-mix is an essential part of the success of the Makkelijke Moestuin. This 'soil' is easy to work with, provides everything your plants need, and retains water well without ever becoming too wet.
You can leave this mix in your beds for years and never have to replace it - unlike potting soil. Because you occasionally supplement the mix with some additional nutrition, you also don't have to deal with all kinds of strange fertilizers. How sustainable is that? 🙂

5. Starter kits with seeds and small tools
In the shop you will find small and larger starter kits with which you can start right away. With seeds, labels, pre-sowing items and/or small tools such as a shovel.

6. Electric fence against slugs
Are there many slugs in your garden and do you still want an MM-hero for the ground? Then the MM electric fence against slugs is a great option.
Until now, there hasn't been a real working solution against all slugs. That's why we made this electric fence against slugs ourselves.
As soon as a slug touches 2 out of the 4 chains - one from the top and one from the bottom - it receives a small electric shock and turns around. So whether you're dealing with naked or shell slugs, small or large ones: this device keeps (almost) all of them away.

Use the app to sow and harvest
All MM-hero beds are listed in the app. If you add your bed to the app, you will receive step-by-step instructions. This way, you can sow and take care of your vegetables in the beds perfectly.
Materials and sustainability
The MM-Hero's are our most sustainable beds. The materials we use for them last so long that you can use them for the rest of your life. And then your children, and your grandchildren, and ... Well, you understand what I mean.
The 3cm (!) thick planks are made of recycled plastic. This material is indestructible, does not warp, and can be recycled infinitely. Moreover, it meets the strictest safety and environmental requirements and remains intact even when constantly in water. So you don't have to worry about plastic particles ending up in your garden.
You connect the planks together with couplings and nice thick stainless steel screws. The optional legs and bottoms are also made of stainless steel. Everything lasts endlessly.
With your Planty Garden, you kill two birds with one stone: you rid the world of a mountain of plastic waste and your bed doesn't deteriorate.
How do you put everything together? (instructional folders)

What is the best location for your vegetable garden box?
Vegetables need at least 6 hours of sunlight per day (preferably 8), so place the box in a sunny spot and ensure it can drain well.
Tip: The closer your box is to your kitchen door, the more you will harvest from it. Conversely, if it is far away, you may forget about it.

How do you maintain an MM-Hero?
It doesn't need maintenance. Even if you don't do anything for 100 years, it will still be there 🙂
However, over time, the planks may become dirty and there may be some algae residue during wet and cold weather. If that bothers you, you can easily remove the dirt on the outside with a soapy water and sponge.
