Early November: the latest news from Planty

Today's blog is all about why we're offering a 10% discount this month, updates to the Planty Gardening app, and preparing your garden boxes for winter.

Yup, winter has arrived. It's getting dark earlier in the evening, we're harvesting with a flashlight, and in some places, the temperature has already dropped below 0°C.

So, it's time to get your garden boxes ready for winter. That's 1 of the main topics today, plus a few other fun things.

A new version of the app is finally ready.

So, in spring it seems like everybody has the same thought: "Oh, what beautiful weather! I'll start a vegetable garden."

That means in March, we'll get swamped with orders. We're not complaining 😉 But we can't predict exactly how much of which products to have in stock. We do our best, but you never know.

So, that's why we want to spread out the orders a little. That way we can better order our stock and don't have to ship everything at once.

If you know you want something for next spring, it would help us out a lot if you order it now. To thank you for your help, we're giving a 10% discount on everything for the whole month of November. Even our super deluxe MM-Bamboos.

So this isn't your average sale, because all our stuff is new: the garden boxes, the MM-Mini grow bags, the soil mix. The seeds are fresh and can be used until early 2024.

You're also helping yourself - with the global shortages, we just don't know how things will go next spring. Even our friends at the soil company are feeling a bit gloomy 🙁 Prices will probably go up.

But hey, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. For now, just enjoy the discount 😀

This is one of those things that gets left half-finished sometimes. I'm too busy, don't feel like going outside, the weather's bad, I need to do something else, I don't feel well...

Sound familiar? There are countless excuses to get out of it. But actually, it couldn't be easier.

So, let's talk about how to keep it easy.

Just when to do it depends on the weather. Sometimes it's already freezing in October. Sometimes, it's still so mild in January it seems like we're skipping winter altogether. But if you stick to November, you can't really go wrong.

To how I prepare my Planty Garden for winter.

De Engelse versie van de Makkelijke Moestuin - Planty Gardening - gaat nu echt van start: de site staat, de shop is live, en met een eigen app die in de hele EU te downloaden is.

Voortaan heb je dus de keuze: spreek je Nederlands, dan gebruik je de MM-app, spreek je liever Engels, dan download je Planty Gardening app.

De werking van beide apps is zo goed als hetzelfde - al zit er in de Planty Gardening app nog geen community.

Yes, we zijn lekker bezig - al zeg ik het zelf. De site in een fris jasje, net als de shop, reviews bij de producten, en een eigen sectie op de Kennisbank voor de app en de community.

Verder zijn veel van de oude pagina’s afgestoft, en vervangen we de piepkleine foto’s daar door wat grotere. Zodat het er allemaal weer wat leuker uit komt te zien.

Ook op de community wordt nog volop gepost. Prachtige herfsttuinen komen voorbij, vaak met foto’s van wat nu nog geoogst wordt.

Ook de pompoen is in deze tijd erg fotogeniek, zelfs op de vensterbank. Sommige MM-ers zijn er zelfs verliefd op 🙂
